I believe one of the primary functions of packaging design is that it promotes the contents inside the packaging. Depending on the product, the packaging design can be simple and straight-forward, or colorful and complex. The idea is to evoked some kind of emotion and grabbing the consumers attention so they could spend more time with our packaging, and finding out how amazing our product is.
